Arsenal Predicted lineup vs Brentford: White & Sambi debuts?

Amid what can only be described as a ubiquitous handover, many might have forgotten for a moment that there is an actual soccer game taking place involving a team in desperate need of three points. The season has not yet started and the mood needs to be improved.

The concern is understandably mounting in and around North London, with Arsenal struggling to complete either component of a transfer window: sell and buy. The deals are failing, the movements are pulling out, and the starting lineup could look incredibly similar to May 23.

Arteta would have expected considerably more movement in and out of the club at this point, but his concerns and those of the fans should be focused on a certain patch of West London turf. Needing to get off the mark well and early with Chelsea and Manchester City to be next in the Premier League, which team will the manager see fit to secure three points against the Bees?

On defense, Gabriel has been ruled out until next month as a result of the knee injury he suffered in Brazil, which comes across as one of many unfortunate setbacks. Thomas Partey joins him in the treatment room, who will also not be available until after the international break due to an ankle problem of his own.

Higher up the court, Eddie Nketiah will also be out of it through September with his own ankle problem, though whether or not he will be here to see that injury remains to be seen.

He is a big one. He is the first. It’s Brentford vs Arsenal in the Premier League season opener. What are we waiting for?
