Manchester United plays a third pre-season friendly tonight, facing Brentford.
This is a step up after games against Derby County, a 2-1 win, and QPR, a 4-2 loss.
Brentford are now a Premier League team after winning promotion and they will be eager to give a good account of themselves.
This is United’s first friendly match at Old Trafford. Another will take place against Everton next week, with an away game against Preston this weekend.
The equipment available is very similar to the QPR game, confirmed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer said Donny van de Beek and Diogo Dalot will play as substitutes. They will likely take around 30 minutes each.
Scott McTominay could also play his first preseason game. Tahith Chong and Nathan Bishop have now left the team for their loan periods.
Bruno Fernandes will not play as he returned to training yesterday. Dean Henderson is also not approved yet. Both could appear against Preston on Saturday.
United are still very short of key players due to Euro 2020. In next week’s game against Everton, the team will start to take shape.
